KFC launches chicken-inspired 'Limited' capsule collection

Published
Jul 24, 2017

Wearing what you eat implies that you’ve clumsily dropped your meal or “lost your lunch” on yourself. Restaurants and fast food chains have outfitted customers in their meals through fashion collections, and KFC is that latest to launch a collection inspired by its menu.

The KFC Limited Logo/Town t-shirt

Kentucky Fried Chicken in 2016 launched “Finger-lickin’ good” edible nail polish and also fried chicken-scented sunscreen. The Louisville, Kentucky-based company expands on its fashion and beauty venture with a capsule collection of fried chicken-inspired clothing, accessories, blankets, patches, pillowcases and prints.

Several pieces in the collection reference the fast food chain’s specialty: fried chicken, as well as its founder and mascot Colonel Sanders. The founder’s image appears on a t-shirt, pillowcase, numerous prints and pins, while the founder’s popular food is used for all-over prints on t-shirts and socks.

Other notable pieces include the ‘Fried Chicken USA’ sweatshirt, a classic string tie that is a signature of the Colonel Sanders mascot, the all-over Logo/Town t-shirt, a white t-shirt designed to look like Colonel Sanders’ suit, and prints of the KFC restaurant.

In addition, up to nine pieces from the collection are currently sold out, including a $20,000 one-of-a-kind Zinger Meteorite that was sculpted in the shape of the Zinger sandwich.

The KFC Limited collection is available now online.
