Kering and Parsons have chosen winners of joint competition

Published

The winners of the third annual "Empowering Imagination” competition, organized by Kering and Parsons The New School for Design, have been chosen. Selected from students in their final year of at the school in New York, the two winners will be offered an internship at one of the multinational luxury company’s 22 brands. Justin Chu and Zhang Mijia have been selected this year.

Justin Chu convinced the jury with a women’s collection rife with a hyperbolic distortion of forms.

Mijia Zhang, on the other hand, proposed a playful unisex wardrobe inspired by robots. An honorable mention was also given to a third student, Lee Ximon, in order to distinguish his work even if he was not named a winner.

While waiting to see at which of Kering’s brands the two winners will do their internships, they will enjoy another perk, a "mentoring" session from the team at Style.com.
