Katy Perry has bagged herself another major fashion campaign -- this time as the festive face of H&M.

The US pop star has been revealed as the star of the store's 2015 holiday campaign and is set to feature in a global TV and print ad series which the brand promises will be "full of joy and togetherness for the holidays".

"H&M was one of the places where I first began cultivating my personal style," the global sensation says. "I have continued to love integrating H&M pieces into my wardrobe throughout the years. One of the reasons I love the holidays is being able to dress cozy and cute, which H&M executes so well for every budget," says Katy Perry.

The singer worked with Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund and photographer Dan Jackson on the campaign, with the first teaser image showing her looking festive in a snuggly snowflake patterned rollneck sweater and sporting a bright red bow in her hair.

She has also uploaded her own picture from the campaign to her Instagram account, accompanied by the message: "Ladies, Gentlemen & unlabeled - let's take a petite pause on the beauteous summer we are experiencing & open our calendars tooooo... THE HOLIDAYS I am excited to announce that I will be starring in @hm's #HappyandMerry Holiday Campaign launching later this year!!! Stay tuned for the whole unwrapping! Tap for credits! (can't believe I already have holiday emojis in my most recently used emoji's...more shame)".

H&M is the latest stepping stone on Perry's transformation into full-blown fashion icon, coming hot on the heels of her Autumn/Winter 2015 campaign for Moschino. Photos posted by the singer from her Brooklyn shoot with the Italian house show her rocking a grungy, punked-up style to showcase the collection's bold new pieces. One memorable image shows her posing completely nude, covering up using a black fur coat adorned with the house's signature vibrant motifs, while other shots see her sporting denim cut-offs, hip-hop style jackets, fringed knee-high boots and a strapless ball gown.

The work of the house's creative director Jeremy Scott and fashion photography duo Inez and Vinoodh, the Moschino campaign nails the youthful cool vibe the brand enjoyed in the early 1990s and is currently revisiting.
