Kate Spade has signed up to open a pop-up shop on Peter’s Lane at Liverpool One. Opening on 6 December, this will be the fashion brand’s first boutique outside of London and Scotland.

Known for its pink-hued universe of handbags, clothing and accessories, the premium brand operates a flagship store on Regent Street in London.

In addition to the core ranges, a selection of shoes, jewellery, homeware and tech accessories will be also stocked in the new pop-up store, which will be fitted out with the brand’s signature tonal shades of pink, rose gold and deep green with mixed materials including marble, velvet and metal.

The pop-up opening marks a new step in the company’s evolution towards what it has always described as “optimistic femininity”.

“We’re incredibly proud to be unveiling our new shop at Liverpool One, our brand and everything we make are a celebration of women—their personal style, confidence and realness,” said Nicola Glass, the Northern Irish designer who became the creative director of Kate Spade in 2018, succeeding Deborah Lloyd.

“I’ve seen so much opportunity to evolve the brand since I started, and for me this new retail vision that customers will see reflected in this pop-up, is a much more modern expression of our original DNA and personality.”

Since joining the affordable luxury brand, Glass has focused on introducing a sense of modernity into the brand’s vision whilst at the same time respecting the feminine codes that turned Kate Spade into a global powerhouse.
