Karlie Kloss, Mango’s face for next seasonal trend ‘New Metallics’
Spanish brand Mango has unveiled its new face, which as part of a new rebranding strategy, is to present the next trend for Spring Summer. Fronting Mango’s New Metallics campaign is US model Karlie Kloss, together with The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince.
In January, Mango secured the attention of major media with the launch of its inaugural campaign ‘Tribal Spirit’, featuring American model and celebrity Kendall Jenner. It was followed by the ‘Soft Minimal’ campaign, starring Chinese model Liu Wen, and now Mango takes inspiration from grunge and the music scene of the 90's for ‘New Metallics’.
Karlie Kloss, L’Oréal brand ambassador, former Victoria’s Secret angel and the current star of Topshop and Kurt Geiger campaigns, has been selected as the best representative of Mango’s new metallic look. The collection comprises short dresses, bomber jackets and denim pieces covered in sequins and silver streaks.
With the new advertising campaign, the high street company continues its course for fast-fashion success, stocking its stores with new items every 15 days and launching a new trend every month presented by high-profile models.
‘New Metallics’ is scheduled to be released in May, however a teaser video has been unveiled on Mango’s Youtube channel.
