Karl Lagerfeld is taking on the Middle East. Having conquered the great cities of Europe and Asia since its revival in 2012, the Karl Lagerfeld branding is bringing its masstige concept to the region, having announced a new five-year partnership with the company Chalhoub Inc. (owned by the Chalhoub Group).

"We are very pleased to partner with the region’s leader in retail as we expand into the Middle East," said Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of Karl Lagerfeld (pictured). The Dubai-based group is active in no less than 14 markets in the Middle East and manages over 500 stores throughout the region.

Through the partnership, the accessible luxury brand, owned by Apax Partners, will open 10 Karl Lagerfeld concept stores there from now until 2018. Two corners are already planned to open in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) in May. The first Karl Lagerfeld concept store will open in Qatar in July.

Over the past year, the Karl Lagerfeld brand has opened 17 new stores across Europe and Asia and continues to expand its presence worldwide. The brand impresses its unique style onto men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, watches, eyewear, footwear and accessories and as of a few weeks ago, a perfume.
