Kano joins line-up of British stars fronting Burberry marketing

New creative chief, new image. Burberry’s creative director Daniel Lee continues to take the luxury fashion brand in a new promotional direction.

The fresh new look sees celebrity rapper Kano added to Lee’s revolution with his rebrand centring on youth and personality.
 
Kano has been pictured wearing a Burberry trench coat, standing over a traffic sign for London's A406 North Circular Road leading to the Newham Borough district of East Ham, where he was born and raised. A second imager sees the rapper wearing a black knit Burberry turtleneck jumper.

To shoot the campaign, Lee enlisted film director and longstanding collaborator Tyrone Lebon.
 
The images appear next to the reintroduction of Burberry’s 'Equestrian Knight’ logo, first used at the beginning of the 20th century, as the new designer takes the brand back to its roots while also focusing on British talent.
 
Lee first unveiled his new campaign direction in early February, ahead of his debut collection at London Fashion Week.
 
The AW23 campaign also features musicians Skepta, John Glacier, Shygirl and Lennon Gallagher, model Liberty Ross, actors Jun Ji-hyun and Vanessa Redgrave and Chelsea footballer Raheem Sterling.
