Joe Browns has been awarded The Investors in People Standard, underlining the ambitious fashion and homeware retailer’s positive working practices credentials.

The UK retailer said the accreditation supports the business’s key goal of “recognising the role that great people have within the organisation to help deliver this sustained growth ambition”.

Such recognition is increasingly important to modern consumers who expect the businesses they patronise to do good as well as making money.

The award comes on top of Joe Browns' recent announcement of a new strategy to deliver annual sales of £100 million by 2026, representing a 138% increase on current turnover. And with the retailer starting the AW21 season with cumulative growth up 68% year-on-year “early signs show that the strategy to deliver is already working”.

Founder Simon Brown said: “Our people, more so now than ever, are central to the success of Joe Browns and, although this is something that we have known for a long time, it’s great to receive an external pat on the back with The Investors in People Standard.”
