Jeweller Maya Magal London to open at Coal Drops Yard

Published

British jewellery brand Maya Magal is joining the list of retailers that are opening stores at the new Coal Drops Yard in King’s Cross in October.

Following recent openings in Islington and Marylebone, the brand has signed up for space at the new shopping district which has also secured Paul Smith, Tom Dixon, Cubitts, Manifesto and Cheaney.

The retail interior will reflect Maya Magal’s design aesthetic with bright, warm and homely spaces, as well as thoughtful displays of the hand-making process. The handmade approach is central to the brand’s proposition, and the founder proudly hand-makes more than half of her pieces in London.

“At Coal Drops Yard, we want to create a truly unique and interactive jewellery store, celebrating our new home and affirming the brand’s DNA as we grow,” says Magal, who founded her line in 2013 after receiving training as a jeweller in a Hatton Garden workshop.

The brand releases new collections twice a year and presents globally at Paris, London and New York Fashion Weeks.

Its new location, Coal Drops Yard, is due to open to the public in October 2018. It will house 100,000 square feet of shops and restaurants, and together with its line-up of brands, canal-side location and innovative architecture, it is set to become a magnet for shoppers.
