Blondel will join the high performance outdoor business from another VF Corp label, Vans, where he has been working since 2014. In 2016 he was promoted to senior director of the skateboarding label.

In his new role based in the group’s European headquarters in Stabio, Switzerland, Blondel will be responsible for The North Face’s entire wholesale operation in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

His main focus will be to drive growth in the region whilst strengthening the brand’s evolution and marketplace management following twelve consecutive quarters of double-digit growth.

“The North Face is one of the few brands in the world that is loved as much on top of a mountain in the Alps as it is on the streets of Berlin. Originally coming from Chamonix I grew up seeing explorers heading into the mountain with that iconic logo on their arm, and it’s incredible to see that transcend into the city today,” said Jeremie Blondel.

Blondel’s appointment follows that of Jan Van Leeuwen as vice president and general manager of The North Face EMEA in November.

The outdoor brand also operates in the Americas and Asia Pacific.
