Jennifer Aniston to launch beauty brand LolaVie

Published
Sep 4, 2021

Actress Jennifer Aniston has revealed that she is joining the growing ranks of celebrities with a beauty business, announcing the upcoming launch of her brand, LolaVie.

One of the photos teasing the launch of LolaVie on the brand's official Instagram account - Instagram: @lolavie

Aniston, 52, perhaps best known for her role as Rachel Green on iconic sitcom Friends, is yet to provide details about the kind of products that LolaVie will offer, but the brand already boasts a website where fans can join a mailing list to receive updates about its launch, as well as an Instagram account with more than 12,400 followers.

The website currently displays an image featuring lab glassware, bamboo, a lemon slice and water, suggesting that the brand’s products will use natural ingredients. The first image on the LolaVie Instagram account also features bamboo in a conical flask and gives a date for the brand’s launch: September 8, 2021.

Another hint as to the kind of products that the brand will be offering comes from documents cited by Page Six Style, which reveal that an application was filed to trademark the name LolaVie for face and body lotion, shower gel, candles and haircare in 2019.

This isn’t the first time Aniston has used the LolaVie moniker. The perfume she launched in 2010 was initially released under the same name, before it was changed to “Jennifer Aniston” following conflict with another brand. According to comments made by the actress at the time, the name is meant to signify “laughing at life.”

Nor is it the first dive into the beauty industry for Aniston, who serves as chief creative officer at collagen powder specialist Vital Proteins and is also an ambassador for natural skincare brand Aveeno.

With the launch of LolaVie, Aniston will join the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Jennifer Lopez in an already crowded celebrity beauty market, which is also expecting brand launches from Hailey Baldwin and Ariana Grande later this year.
