Jack Wolfskin continues to strengthen its presence in the winter wear market. After signing a sponsorship contract this past February with the International Ski Federation, the outdoor brand became the main sponsor of the Biathlon World Cup.

In fact, Jack Wolfskin has signed a two year contract with Infront Sports & Media, the international company for the promotion of sporting events which handles the marketing of the World Cup Biathlon IBU. The agreement includes all races of the World Cup Biathlon IBU and those starting in the 2012/2013 season.

"By expanding our winter sports portfolio with the Biathlon World Cup, we see great potential for sustained national brand presence in an authentic and credible environment. At the international level, also, we can potentially score some important points, for example in Scandinavia or Russia," said Marcus Pieker, Director of Sponsorship and Events at Jack Wolfskin.

Jack Wolfskin which, in 2011, saw its sales climb by 22.5% to 355 million euros, will therefore provide good visibility on the European markets primarily for winter sports enthusiasts in particular through ad placements on routes to and within stadiums as well as by logo placement on athletes' identification numbers.
