The partnership's first eyewear collection reinterprets the Italian luxury womenswear label’s codes, featuring versatile, sophisticated models of both sunglasses and eyeglasses, and will be available from March 2023.

Italian label Twinset has licensed eyewear to De Rigo

The partnership's eyewear collection reinterprets the Italian luxury womenswear label’s codes with versatile models featuring sophisticated details, and will be commercialised from March 2023 via De Rigo’s retail network and the Twinset Milano stores.

“We are delighted with the agreement, and we are certain that we will succeed together in achieving significant and challenging targets worldwide. This partnership is a further milestone in De Rigo's expansion plan, as it strengthens and broadens the group's product range in the women's segment,” said Michele Aracri, CEO of De Rigo Vision.

“Launching the Twinset Milano Eyewear line is a significant step, the fruit of a collaboration between two entities that share the same values: kindness and respect. The outcome is a highly feminine and elegant line,” said Alessandro Varisco, CEO of Twinset SpA, “a growth-fostering alliance that will enable both [companies] to reach new milestones,” he added.

Twinset was founded in Carpi, Italy, in 1987 as a quality knitwear producer. Over the years, its activities extended to garment making, accessories production and footwear, producing complete women's and children's collections. The Twinset Milano label currently operates 110 directly owned monobrand stores and 90 franchised stores worldwide, and is also distributed via 3,000 multibrand retailers.

De Rigo Vision SpA is present in some 80 countries, chiefly in Europe, Asia and the Americas, via 18 subsidiaries and over 100 independent distributors. The group is among the global leaders in the optical retail sector. It owns the General Optica (Spain), Mais Optica (Portugal) and Opmar Optik (Turkey) chains, and has a stake in Boots Opticians (UK). De Rigo produces and sells both directly owned brands (Lozza, Police, Sting and Yalea), and licensed ones like Blumarine, Chopard, Fila, Philipp Plein, Roberto Cavalli and Zadig & Voltaire.
