Italian fashion wants to create a major trade show for the entire industry

Published
Dec 23, 2015

Italy's fashion institutions (Altagamma, AltaRoma, Sistema Moda Italia and Camera nazionale della moda italiana) as well as several organisers were invited to Milan by Carlo Calenda, the Vice-Minister of Economic Development, to the ICE, the Italian Agency for Outside Trade, offices.

The point of this meeting, which wasn't open to the public, was to hold a preliminary discussion between the different parties regarding the creation of a new trade show in Milan.

The information was confirmed to FashionMag.com by different participants. The operation aims to bring together Made in Italy fashion and accessories into one single, major event, which would take place at the FieraMilano in Rho pavilions in conjunction with Milan Fashion Week.

The details of the project should be revealed in the coming weeks.
