Isabel Marant is thriving, both in its physical and online distribution channels. The Parisian brand, founded in 1994 by its eponymous designer, has just created a new position within the house; that of chief omnichannel officer, newly assigned to Bruno Alazard.

The new chief will oversee the label's e-commerce and omnichannel activites, said Isabel Marant. The label has increased its store openings over the past few years as well, opening its 66th global store this summer in New York, and has continued to grow its online presence.

Alazard has deep experience at multinationals and fashion houses, particularly in e-commerce, marketing and omnichannel strategies. He was most recently chief client and digital officer at Kenzo.

He started his career in the '90s at AC Nielsen, then Yahoo before moving on to big groups such as L’Oreal and then to Estée Lauder, where he was corporate internet and CRM director. In 2014 he turned towards the luxury industry, joining Christian Louboutin as international group e-commerce, CRM and omnichannel director, then Kenzo four years later.

In 2016 Isabel Marant sold its majority stake, up to 51% of the brand's capital, to French fund Montefiore and is led by Anouck Duranteau-Loeper. There have been rumors for several months of the house being up for sale.
