INDX adds new UK sports and leisure show

Sportswear, across both athleisure and performance wear, has been a retail staple over the last few years and really came into its own during and after the pandemic.

So it’s no wonder Independent Exhibitions (INDX) has unveiled its specialist Sports & Leisure show, which will take place at the Cranmore Park Exhibition Centre in Solihull across 1-2 December. And it comes at a good time as trade shows bounce back after their enforced shutdowns.

INDX Sports & Leisure will offer retailers a dedicated showcase across teamwear, football, rugby, cricket, running, racket sports, swimming, training and outdoor and sports accessories.

Open to all independent retailers, confirmed brand exhibitors include New Balance, Skechers, Hoka, Ronhill and Reydon Sports.

The event will join its established show portfolio of menswear, womenswear, kidswear, intimate apparel and accessories and will be curated by buying group Associated Independent Stores (AIS).

There will be four shows a year, each with a specialist focus, showcasing the latest innovations from market leading brands.

Alan Galloway, Head of Sports & Leisure, said: “We’ve been discussing the opportunity of introducing sports to the INDX group of shows for a while. INDX shows are focussed on connecting commercially relevant and innovative sports and leisure brands with quality independent retailers, including local high street sports stores, specialist outlets and department stores”.
