Independent luxury retailer Cricket to open at Metquarter

Published
Jan 30, 2019

Cricket, an independent designer boutique selling fashion from Balenciaga, Valentino and Celine, will open a 12,000-square-foot flagship store at Metquarter shopping centre in Liverpool.

Considered one the best designer shops outside London, the retailer also stocks contemporary products from the likes of Off-White and Kanye West’s Yeezy.

Cricket is joining the shopping centre following a significant repositioning programme aimed at transforming the scheme into a premium retail destination. Additionally, a reconfiguration has created 38 new units within the centre, including three anchor units, a four screen boutique cinema and a bar and dining area.

Kids Cavern, a designer childrenswear shop selling over 140 brands such as Lanvin, Chloe, Moncler and Givenchy, has also recently launched a 15,000-square-foot anchor store on the ground floor of the scheme.

Further brands at the shopping centre include Jo Malone, Kurt Geiger, Gieves and Hawkes and Hugo Boss.

Stuart Harris, commercial director and co-founder of Queensberry said: “We wanted to create an environment that would truly attract the best of the best to Metquarter, and Cricket signing is testament to the success of this approach. It is a great independent name famed for its incredible fashion insight and forward thinking approach and as a result enjoys impressive levels of customer loyalty and is a popular pick for many celebrities.”
