IKKS Paris celebrates King's Road opening with special Bastille Day event
True to its London expansion schedule, French fashion and lifestyle brand IKKS Paris has opened its second store on the King’s Road. The new store, which carries its menswear, womenswear and junior lines, follows on from its London flagship store debut on Carnaby last month.
A trio of stores in the capital are planned with an as-yet-to-be-confirmed store earmarked to open in Marylebone.
In a slightly early celebration of Bastille Day this week, the King's Road store hosted a number of activities during the afternoon, including a fashion illustrator who captured “guests’ outfits through delicate drawings, textured with inks and watercolours”.
For children, there was an assortment of cupcakes and soft drinks with activities such as face painting, fake tattoos and colouring-in.
IKKS Paris said it aims to "embolden urban free spirits around the world to rock their lives through creative, responsible, 365-day Parisian easy chic fashion”. The latest collection includes four stylistic pillars; Urban Rock, Urban Cargo, Urban Military and Urban Mobility.
Presenting its SS22 collection in full, the store carries UK exclusives, and includes a showcase of the hero ‘Free the Sea’ collection, which uses recycled plastic waste from the sea with proceeds going to The SeaCleaners NGO. The capsule collection runs across women’s, men’s and kids.
