MILAN, Sept 12 (Reuters) - IT Holding said it was in talks with a company represented by Billy Ngok, chairman of China's Hembly International Holdings Ltd , but contrary to media reports it had not been in contact with Hembly or its subsidiaries.

"Negotiations regard the possibility that a minority shareholding be purchased in the company that directly controls IT Holding SpA and the possibility of IT Holding SpA stipulating commercial and production partnership agreements with reference to the Asian market," IT Holding said in a statement on Friday.

IT Holding owns Italian designer Gianfranco Ferre.
