Black Friday isn’t all about selling goods at bargain prices. Women’s fashion and lifestyle brand Hush is taking a different approach again this year with the launch of its ‘buy one, give one’ initiative to support long-term charity partner Crisis and its ongoing mission to end homelessness.
Through the campaign, each time a product is purchased online at hush-uk.com on Friday 25 November, the retailer will donate an item of clothing to Crisis. This will be either distributed directly to its members experiencing homelessness, or to be sold in one of the charity’s UK stores, “driving much-needed funds for the months ahead”.
Last year, Hush raised over £50,000 for Crisis on Black Friday. Among other fundraising activities, the retailer also invites employees to volunteer, and run the London Marathon in support of Crisis.
Richard Lee, Crisis Director of Fundraising, said: “Crisis is privileged to be able to count on Hush as one of our dedicated supporters. They have supported our work to end homelessness for the past six years. We’re extremely grateful to them for supporting us once again this Christmas and bringing us closer to ending homelessness for good across Great Britain.”
