Hunter appoints Vincent Wauters new CEO

Hunter Boots, the British heritage brand that is currently expanding internationally, has appointed its new CEO. The brand has tapped outdoor and lifestyle label Arc'teryx' president Vincent Wauters to take up the CEO role at Hunter on March 1.

Wauters was working at Arc'teryx' Vancouver headquarters and was also a member of the Executive Board of Amer Sports Corporation, in charge of the Apparel and Gear category. Hunter said Wauters' experience in building consumer brands and optimising operational efficiency will drive the brand forward during its next stage of development.

Vincent Wauters commented: “I am honoured to join such an iconic brand. The combination of heritage, performance and fashion is what makes Hunter so unique. What has been accomplished in the last few years is remarkable and I look forward to building on this, realising Hunter’s global potential and setting the path towards an ambitious and inspiring brand future.”

Before working at Arc'teryx, Wauters served as Senior Vice President Operations within Amer Sports Corporation. He was also one of the first employees at Amazon in France.

Hunter Boots announced late last year that it will step away from taking part in London Fashion Week, where it has held four catwalk weeks, to concentrate on its "authentic connection to music festivals." The brand is expanding internationally and will open a Tokyo store in March, to be followed by stores in New York and Hong Kong.
