Home shopping retailer inks deal with ITV1

Multi-channel home shopping retailer Ideal Shopping Direct has partnered with ITV to broadcast live shopping hours from its Ideal World channel on ITV1.

The deal will see the British shopping channels Ideal World and Craft and Create reach new audiences from 1 August.

“ITV 1 is the premiere and market leading entertainment channel in the UK and I am delighted that Ideal World and Create and Craft will be broadcast on the number 1 TV channel in the UK,” said Jamie Martin, CEO of Ideal Shopping Direct.

“Ideal World and Create and Craft will be the first TV shopping channel in the UK to broadcast in true high definition as specified by Sky and the multi-million pound investment in HD equipment is all part of Ideal Shopping Direct’s multi-channel retail strategy as the company navigates the digital waters of media proliferation.”

The home shopping retailer sells a range of general merchandise products, from skincare and fashion items to kitchen and technology goods, through its TV and online channels.

The channel broadcasts from studios in Peterborough, and will be simulcasted live on ITV1 nightly between midnight and 3am from 1st August 2019.
