Hollister C. to open upsized store at St David’s

American teen retailer Hollister Co is set to relocate and upsize its store at St David’s shopping centre in Cardiff. Due to open this spring, the new shop will feature the brand’s Gilly Hicks intimates, loungewear and sleepwear range, as well as the core Hollister collection for boys and girls.

The new location will be on Upper Grand Arcade, close to fashion brands including Victoria’s Secret, Bershka and Stradivarius.

Visitors will benefit from new omnichannel capabilities such as Click and Collect, Order in Store, and Ship from Store services, while on-the-spot checkouts will provide a seamless shopping experience.

“The Hollister Co relocation and upsize is testament to the importance of St. David’s as a prime urban retail centre, and the continued growth of Cardiff as a leading city within the UK,” said Colin Flinn, intu regional managing director.

“This news highlights our lure as a location tailored towards international brands and flagship stores, enhancing our appeal to our youthful and vibrant catchment.”

2019 was a bumper year for the shopping centre, with new entrants, regional debuts, upsizes and openings for international fashion, lifestyle and restaurant brands such as Levi’s, Ecco, FatFace and Skechers.

Anchor store John Lewis has also recently created a new ‘Beauty Society’, offering visitors a luxe space to discover new products, get inspired and receive personalised beauty advice.
