Women’s knitwear designer Helen Lawrence has paired up with Browns to help the designer launch her first-ever menswear collection.

"My work is quite playful, with weird shapes and odd color palettes", Lawrence said about her work. These ideas translated into her men’s offerings through a series of crew-neck and quarter-zip sweaters in Italian mohair and British lamb’s wool blends. The collection is available worldwide exclusively through Browns. The eight-piece collection retails between $801 and $990.

Lawrence has previously shown at Fashion Week with the Fashion East platform, a platform that has helped launch the careers of Gareth Pugh, Jonathan Saunders, Roksanda, and House of Holland. Her designs have been scooped up by celebrities like Harry Styles (outfitted in one of her women’s styles), and Pixie Geldof.

This isn’t the first time Lawrence has dabbled in the menswear world – she has worked with menswear designer Craig Green for four seasons (from 2013-2014) to design his knitwear offerings.

Browns has been making big changes in the past few months to modernize its business model. In November, the website and brick-and-mortar locations were completely revamped to reflect a more editorial/inspirational-style way of displaying merchandise. The retailer also changed its branding to give a more contemporary feel to the branding and website.
