Hawes & Curtis, the British heritage menswear fashion brand owned by Touker Suleyman, has opened a new store in the striking Shard building by London Bridge.

The Shard building is also where Hawes & Curtis staged its Spring 2016 photoshoot. Suleyman, who is also the chairman of Hawes & Curtis, said the location was perfect, since it represented part of a new lifestyle expansion for the brand. The new store will focus on shirts, suits and accessories for the London businessman, rather than on Hawes & Curtis’ wide range of suits, shoes, chinos and casualwear.

Suleyman said: “The new store comes at the perfect time as we have just enjoyed an incredible photoshoot in The Shard itself, focusing on our current Back to Business range which aims to dress the successful businessman and woman. And what better backdrop to reflect this than an aesthetically beautiful building with views across a thriving city filled with hundreds of thousands of dedicated workers.”

The brand drew parallels between The Shard's and Hawes & Curtis' iconic look and British style. The tower is also located between London Bridge underground station and the main entrances to The Shard and The News Building, where hundreds of affluent professionals including lawyers, journalists and accountants are based, Hawes & Curtis said.

The Shard is looking like it's becoming something of a fashion destination. In January, luxury fashion etailer Matchesfashion.com announced that it is moving its headquarters to the building in the second quarter of 2016, and Tiffany already has its office there.
