This summer, Scotland’s Silverburn shopping centre is set to welcome British brand Jack Wills and Italian cosmetics label Kiko Milano. Jack Wills will open a 295 sq mt store, while Kiko Milano will debut its third Scottish location with a 74 sq mt store within the shopping centre.

Additionally, Hammerson announced that lingerie brand Ann Summers will be taking a 218 sq mt shop at WestQuay in Southampton.

The news come shortly after Britain voted to leave the European Union.

David Atkins, Hammerson chief executive of Hammerson said: “We have had numerous conversations with our retailers post the EU referendum, and the majority remain committed to delivering their expansion plans. While the activity over the past week doesn’t provide a perfect indicator on future demand it does demonstrate initial resilience in the retail sector post the Brexit decision and is evidence that investment in prime retail locations is still a priority for brands.”

Hammerson’s portfolio includes 58 shopping centres, retail parks and outlet centres across the UK and France. These include among others, Bullring in Birmingham, Victoria Quarter in Leeds and WestQuay in Southampton.
