H&M teams up with LA’s Brock Collection for womenswear collab

Published

Swedish fast fashion retailer H&M has joined forces with Los Angeles-based women’s ready-to-wear label Brock Collection for a collaboration seeking to combine contemporary sophistication with vintage touches and sustainable materials.

Channeling a “softly romantic yet city-ready” aesthetic, the womenswear collection includes dresses, blouses, tops, and denim jeans and shorts, as well as footwear, jewelry, handbags and sunglasses.

Pieces, which are made from sustainable materials such as organic linen and cotton, recycled cotton and polyester, and Tencel Lyocell, feature a mixture of fitted cuts and flowing fabrics, punctuated by details such as statement balloon sleeves and ruffles. The collection’s color palette ranges from off-white and cream, through pale pinks and shades of washed denim, to black. Prices start at $12.99 and top out at $59.99.

“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Brock Collection, who are well-known for their luxe craftsmanship, impeccable fits and structures, and have quite the celebrity following,” said H&M’s head of design, Maria Östblom, in a release. “But there’s also beauty in the fact that their designs always feel down-to-earth, thoughtful and easy to wear — I believe that’s the key to their success. We want to celebrate romance and make it accessible to the many.”

Brock Collection was founded in 2014 by Laura Vassar and Kristopher Brock, who met in New York while studying at Parsons School of Design. The brand is known for its focus on cut and craftsmanship, as well as its simultaneously grounded and sophisticated style.

As part of the collaboration’s launch, H&M has partnered with Sherrie Silver, the choreographer behind Childish Gambino’s iconic “This is America” video, to make a modern dance routine inspired by the concept of “pure joy.”

The Brock Collection x H&M collaboration is available now in select H&M stores around the world, as well as on the retailer’s e-commerce website.
