Fast-growing Irish athleisure brand Gym+Coffee continues its impressive growth programme, announcing the opening of a new ‘Clubhouse’ location in Liverpool’s Liverpool One shopping centre.

Opening 18 September, the store is the latest of four new locations launched in the last year, following on from Belfast, London and Manchester, as the brand continues to increase its retail footprint across the UK.

The opening also creates up to 15 jobs in the area, and is part of Gym+Coffee’s wider plans to double its staff count across the company’s HQ and retail stores by the end of 2021.

The new 1,579 sq ft store features the brand's ‘Clubhouse look’ including an interactive corner that comes with half-table ping-pong. The Liverpool store will also draw on sustainable solutions that include the offer of a full range of self-branded athleisure wear, featuring sustainable garments made from 100% recycled polyester within the latest autumn/winter 2021 collection.

The store also features the use of mannequins made from recycled plastic and offers customers a carrier bag made from 100% recycled materials.

The initiatives are part of Gym+Coffee’s efforts "towards becoming a sustainable business along with the company’s other initiatives including its One Tree Planted partnership”, it said.

Co-founder Diarmuid McSweeney said: “With a large community base already in Liverpool it’s great that we can now accommodate this demand in the city and its surrounding areas. As with all our Clubhouses we hope it will not only be a place to shop but a welcoming space that provides the community somewhere to meet and openly socialise and help contribute our ambition to 'Make Life Richer’”.

The expansion programme follows the announcement earlier this year of Irish singer/songwriter Niall Horan investing in Gym+Coffee, helping to raise the profile of the brand across the UK and beyond, it said.
