Guess appoints Laurie Ann Goldman and Deborah Weinswig to Board

The LA-based apparel brand has appointed former Spanx CEO Laurie Ann Goldman and the founder and CEO of Coresight Research Deborah Weinswig to its Board of Directors, and has also announced the departure of Kay Isaacson-Leibowitz.

 
Goldman served as CEO of Spanx from 2002 to 2014, prior to which she spent ten years at the Coca-Cola Company, during which time she worked in a variety of different marketing and operational roles, including as director of worldwide licensing.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors for ServiceMaster Global Holdings, Inc. and Joe & The Juice, as well as on the Board of Managers for New Avon LLC.

Prior to founding Coresight in 2018, Weinswig served as managing director of Fung Group’s think tank Fung Global Retail Technology from 2014. Before this, she worked as chief customer officer at Profitect Inc., having previously served in a number of positions at Citigroup.
 
She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Xcel Brands, Inc. and Kiabi. She also serves on the Advisory Board of a range of accelerators.
 
Following the departure of Isaacson-Leibowitz and the appointments of Goldman and Weinswig, the total number of Guess Board members is now nine, while the total number of independent directors has risen to six.
 
The changes to Guess’ Board are effective October 23, 2018.
