Gucci to launch first fragrance by designer Alessandro Michele in 2017
Gucci will further add to its creative realm by launching a new fragrance in 2017. It will be the very first perfume by Gucci's Creative Director Alessandro Michele, a launch which was heralded as a major event for the fashion label at the presentation of Kering's annual results held last Friday in Paris.

The luxury group's flagship label has closed 2016 on a high note, with a revenue of €4.378 billion and a 12.3% growth, and it is keen to keep up the momentum sparked by its designer.
"The launch is planned for the second half of the year. It will be a major event, as we have suffered in terms of royalties because of the transition following the purchase of Procter & Gamble's beauty brands by Coty. It will be a major launch for Coty too," said the CEO of Kering, François-Henri Pinault, at the press conference.
The fragrance is expected to be "very special", a reflection of the creative style introduced successfully by Alessandro Michele ever since he took charge of Gucci's design in January 2015.
