Beniamino Marini has succeeded Alessio Vannetti as Gucci’s global communication director, according to Italian news site MF Fashion. The post was left vacant after Vannetti's departure in September.

Beniamino Marini joined the Kering group's leading label in 2015, as global social media and editorial content manager, after a stint at Missoni. In 2018, he extended his remit to Gucci’s beauty division, working alongside Creative Director Alessandro Michele in developing its brand image.

In his new role as Gucci's global communication director, Marini will report directly to Robert Triefus, the label’s executive vice-president and chief marketing officer. Marini’s promotion is the latest in a series of internal changes at Gucci, following the departure in October of Jacopo Venturini, the label’s executive vice-president for merchandising and global markets.
