Goop launches G. Label Men

Gwyneth Paltrow’s haute-lifestyle brand Goop has debuted its first men’s apparel collection, G. Label Men.

For its premiere, G. Label Men offers a concise collection of four sweaters, a hoodie and a cardigan in cashmere, linen and cotton. Each of the collection’s pieces is made in Italy from Italian yarns. Available through Goop’s e-commerce platform, prices for the menswear pieces range from $450 to $525.

“For our first men’s collection, we took classic men’s knits—then kicked them up a notch or two,” Goop said on the G. Label launch page. “The zip-up hoodie comes with beautiful leather pull-tabs, the polo shirt is made of the softest cashmere, and the raglan sweatshirt is finished with navy piping—all details you won’t find on the stuff that’s already in a guy’s closet.”

To accompany the new label, Goop - which began in 2008 as a newsletter before exploding into the high-profile lifestyle brand it is today - has also launched Goop Men, a men’s monthly newsletter.

“Welcome to the goop club, fellas,” the brand wrote in an Instagram post on June 2.
“Today, we present @goopmen, a monthly newsletter devoted to the dudes and covering everything from health to travel to an occasional circadian-rhythm-supporting lightbulb. Then there’s #GLabel Men—a collection of classic, made-in-Italy knits. And by “classic” we mean they’ll look great on everyone. And by “made in Italy” we mean “made in Italy.” ​

The menswear launch comes just after the debut of G. Label swimwear at the end of May. In addition to its men’s offering and swim pieces, Goop’s in-house apparel business also includes G. Label, G. Label Core Collection and G. Sport.
