Glossier taps Olivia Rodrigo as first-ever celebrity spokesperson
Digital cosmetics company Glossier announced of Tuesday a new partnership with Olivia Rodrigo, in a move that sees the U.S. popstar become the beauty brand's first-ever celebrity ambassador.
In addition to serving as an ambassador for the New York-based brand, the teenage Grammy-award winning singer will “lend her unique voice and perspective to exciting initiatives spanning product, content and creative campaigns, all while connecting with the Glossier community,” according to press release.
To mark the connection, Glossier has created an 'Olivia’s Favorites' product bundle, selected by the star. Priced at $45, products include Boy Brow pomade, Ultralip tint and Pro Tip liquid eyeliner.
“The way I feel best is when I’m in makeup that accentuates my natural features and makes me glowy — when it enhances what I have naturally,” said Rodrigo about the Glossier products.
“Before, I’d let people do the craziest things, like hot pink lipstick and crazy eyelashes. But as I grow, I learn what I feel comfortable in, and I’m willing to advocate for that.”
Glossier will also task Rodrigo with “tour experiences and merch, [developing] custom product sets, and co-creating content,” said the brand.
The partnership coincides with Glossier's latest campaign, 'You Look Good', designed to encourage shoppers to embrace the skin they're in.
"Around the time of our launch in 2014, we started saying the phrase: You Look Good. It wasn’t something we often heard, or felt, from the beauty industry," said the brand via its Instagram.
"Those three words captured it – that beauty is, above all, about being confident in your skin, wherever you are (AKA *now*)!"
