Glenmuir launches Instagram campaign
Scottish golf clothing brand Glenmuir has launched a series of live Q&A sessions with major sports personalities including Sir Jackie Stewart, Ian Woosnam and Clare Balding. The campaign is called #PeopleOfGlenmuir.
With sports events having been cancelled or postponed this year, marketing opportunities for sports-linked brands have been thin on the ground and labels with sporting links have made good use of digital channels.
The new series is hosted by various members of the brand’s team in Lanark and streamed at 18:00 on Thursdays exclusively through the firm's @glenmuir1891 Instagram channel. Past sessions are available on the channel.
The company said it “captures the spirit of those personalities from the sporting world who have a passion and affinity towards the great game of golf”.
So far, the programme has featured Bella Angel, one of Instagram’s most popular female golf influencers, Conor O’Leary, the joint MD of the Gleneagles resort, and sports personality and presenter Clare Balding.
Future stars will include Andrew Murray, Ian Woosnam and Sir Jackie Stewart, along with “a number of other high profile personalities from the world of sport”.
Glenmuir MD Mikhel Ruia said: “During these difficult and uncertain times it is important we find innovative ways of communicating, engaging with and building communities amongst our customers and Glenmuir team in Lanark. This is the essence of our #PeopleOfGlenmuir series.
