Gerry Weber appoints Norbert Steinke new Chief Retail Officer

At a meeting on Friday, the Supervisory Board of Gerry Weber International AG expanded the company's Managing Board from three to four members and appointed Norbert Steinke to the Board, effective 5 October 2015.

In his capacity as Chief Retail Officer, Norbert Steinke will be responsible for the company's own Retail activities. He will also continue as Managing Director of Hallhuber, a Gerry Weber subsidiary.

Steinke has been Managing Director of Hallhuber, a Munich-based fashion and lifestyle company, since 2009. Before joining Hallhuber, the retail expert served as Managing Director of Roland Schuhe, where he was in charge of purchasing and marketing as well as the company's expansion. Steinke started his professional career in 1982 at C&A.

"Norbert Steinke is an experienced industry expert in the fields of fashion, expansion and retail. He fits the existing team perfectly and will greatly reduce the workload for CEO Ralf Weber at the operational level," said Dr. Ernst F. Schröder, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Gerry Weber International AG.
