As fashion retail continues to grow post-reopening, more new stores are debuting and more new brands are setting foot in the UK for the first time. The latest is German label Unfair Athletics.

It has just landed at House of Fraser and selected independent stores.

The Munich-based contemporary menswear brand was founded in 2015 by Florian Königbauer, drawing its inspiration from the streets, as well as from activewear.

The collections include “athletic-inspired fits and academic prints that feel both timeless and very of the moment”, the company said.

The brand that started as a “small backroom get-together” has raised its profile considerably in recent years and has benefited from the attention of German rappers such as Gzuz, Maxwell, and Alberto Loki, among others.

It has “deep roots in various subcultures” and is a brand “driven by versatility” as well as individuality.

The core collection features a range of comfortable, minimalist T-shirts and crewnecks, imprinted with the brand logo. The collection also presents a selection of classic track tops with a retro edge in a variety of colourways, including darker blacks and greys to bright and vibrant blues and oranges.

The new AW21 ‘Inner Circle’ collection also sees a variety of tailored matching sets that sit alongside “American fraternity-style sweatshirts and thick winter-ready coats”, as well as accessories such as gloves, hats, hoods, and bags.
