American luggage brand has called upon Georges Esquivel to taking over as artistic director of the brand as well as overseeing product development and marketing.

Since the departure of David Chu in 2009, Tumi has had no official artistic director, but rather a design team. "as our brand grows, we are continually looking for ways to increase our excellence," said Tumi CEO Jerome Griffith in a press release. The first products designed by Georges Esquivel will be launched for Christmas 2013.
Georges Esquivel has his own line of shoes and bags which he will continue to work on alongside his duties at Tumi.
Tumi is sold in 200 stores across 65 countries.
