Galeries Lafayette commissions capsule collection to 2022 Hyères Festival winner Jenny Hytönen
Parisian department store Galeries Lafayette, which in 2022 partnered the Première Vision Jury Grand Prize at the Hyères Fashion Festival, is turning the spotlight on last year's fashion competition winner, Jenny Hytönen. The Paris-based Finnish designer, a graduate of the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, has created a capsule collection for Galeries Lafayette, with the same aesthetic as her 'Untitled' collection, presented last October at the Hyères Festival.

“The collection is inspired by vintage stockings and imbued with a touch of 1940s aesthetics, combining the spheres of sensuality and empowerment through a fusion of BDSM influences,” said Galeries Lafayette in a press release. With this kind of collaboration, Galeries Lafayette is aiming to give emerging talents the means to “produce their creations and distribute them to the general public.”

The collection consists of six items, and will be commercialised from October 12 at the Parisian department store’s Haussmann flagship, at the Champs-Elysées branch, and on the Galeries Lafayette e-shop. Prices range from €39 for the t-shirt, €99 for the sequin skirt and printed cardigan, and €150 for the canvas backpack.
