Furla presents versatile men's leather goods collection at Pitti Uomo 91

Italian leather goods label Furla has presented at Pitti Uomo 91 a collection notable for its rejuvenated design approach, especially in the men's section. Irony and colour are its bywords, and the collection features different moods, designed to appeal to a range of personalities and adapt to different occasions, from business to informal.

Furla, Autumn/Winter 2017-18, 'Ulisse'

Design-wise, the new Furla collection references sport, the collegiate world, the urban landscape and even the travels of the great turn-of-the-century explorers.

Aviators, adventurers and motorcycle riders embody the spirit of Furla's 'Leisure' line and its signature bag, the 'Ulisse', with its clean lines and raw-cut leather handles, inspired by the equipment used in discovery expeditions and decorated with animal prints. The line's design motif, at once graphic and functional, is a strip that covers the pocket, allowing the bags to be personalised by adding a detachable pouch printed with a motif chosen by the customer.

Furla, Autumn/Winter 2017-18, 'Atlante'

The 'Atlante' briefcase line embodies instead the collection's business dimension. It is rigorously geometric, its key detail being the metallic clasp similar to that of the 'Metropolis' briefcase, one of Furla's signature products, though this adopts a spring mechanism typical of men's suitcases. Rigour blends with creativity as 'Atlante' is available both in a classic one-colour version and in an all-over print with the collection's animals.

Furla's Autumn/Winter 2017-18 collection also offers a new take on two of the label's classic designs: the 'Giove' line, made over with references to the US collegiate world, and the 'Icaro' line, brightened up with colours typical of the world of skateboarding and parkour, and of street culture.
