French Women’s Fashion Union Chamber names new head

The French Women’s Fashion Union Chamber, one of the three main institutional bodies within the French Fashion and Haute Couture Federation, notably the one in charge of the Parisian women’s ready-to-wear show calendar, has appointed a new president.

The choice is Anouck Duranteau-Loeper, deputy general manager of Isabel Marant, who has already taken office, as the Federation told FashionNetwork.com.

Duranteau-Loeper has replaced Francesca Bellettini, CEO of Saint Laurent, who was elected president of the Union Chamber in 2019. The Paris fashion weeks have been especially affected by the pandemic. They have been forced to become virtual events and have suffered a number of withdrawals, as several labels decided to unveil their collections outside the official calendars. One of them was Saint Laurent.

A graduate of Paris’s ESCP business school, Duranteau-Loeper started her career as a consultant at McKinsey & Co., before joining LVMH, first taking charge of the Fashion division’s strategy, then doing a stint at Loewe, and finally as director of leather goods and accessories at Céline.
In 2014, she moved to Paco Rabanne, where she was general manager fashion until 2016, when she was hired by Isabel Marant, assuming the role of deputy general manager.
