The brand, known for its bohemian clothes and vintage silhouettes will be opening a shop at 28 Floral Street in 2019, it revealed on Thursday.

It will join a small pop-up store on London’s King’s Road next to its sister brand Anthropologie, and Free People’s collections are also stocked in select retailers such as Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and House of Fraser.

Founded in Philadelphia, the lifestyle brand is part of URBN’s portfolio, which also includes Urban Outfitters, BHLND, Terrain and restaurant business Vetri Family.

Free People chose a leading location for its first international permanent store. Centrally located and enjoying high footfall, Covent Garden has also recently signed US fitness and lifestyle brand Peloton, The Shop at Bluebird, Kent & Curwen and Tiffany & Co.
