Fred Perry opening at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands

Heritage fashion brand Fred Perry is set to open its latest store at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands. Debuting Saturday 17 July, the new store will offer streetwear/sports-based apparel for both men and women.

The opening comes as the outlets sector continues to be one of the most buoyant in UK retail. A raft of British and international names have been opening at the biggest outlet malls in recent periods and seem to be riding a wave of interest in bargain fashion post-pandemic

Mike Thomas, Centre Manager at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands said: “The new store [is] in good company among popular designer brands including Ralph Lauren, Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Coach and Ted Baker”.

The latest opening follows a programme of expansion for the Fred Perry brand. Last year saw some high-profile debuts as it opened stores in Milan, Madrid, Spain and Scotland. Earlier, it had opened a flagship store in New York’s Lower Manhattan and a music-themed location in London’s Camden.

Since opening in April 2021, the £160 million McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands has attracted more than 40 designer stores including Guess, Adidas, Calvin Klein, Under Armour and Radley.
