Italian luxury brand Fendi has opened a permanent store in Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4, marking its entry into the travel retail space.

Located in the departures hall, the boutique will be an accessories destination with a range of leather goods for men and women, handbags and suitcases.

Additionally, the brand will be opening a Kiosk pop-up store to celebrate the opening. Featuring the same concept the brand debuted in the Selfridges Corner Shop in July, the pop-up space will recreate a European kiosk filled with a variety of gifting items from the Fendirama range and small travel accessories.

The temporary space is expected to run for three months and target Christmas travelers and Asian customers with a special Chinese New Year range, according to Apparel Resources.

The luxury brand opened a glamorous London flagship store on Sloane Street last year, with an interior design inspired by a sophisticated 1960s Roman apartment. It also operates a boutique on New Bond Street.

CEO Serge Brunschwig hopes the Heathrow store will start a roll-out phase in other key airport terminals in the coming year.
