Fendi, the famous brand of the LVMH group, known for its extravagant furs and leathers, inaugurates today its new headquarters in Rome.

The Roman brand has been progressively transferring its activities, that were previously spread out between various locations in the Italian capital, to the so-called Square Colloseum, or Palace of Italian Civilization. This transfer was expected since July 2013.

The Roman Monument is now home to Fendi headquarters

The inauguration ceremony will be broadcasted live at 19:45 on Fendi.com and a permanent light installation by Mario Nanni, "Poesia di Luce" or "Luminous Poetry" will be unveiled.

This evening, visitors will also discover the permanent lighting of the Palace, by the same artist, enhancing the columns of the monument and creating a unique effect on the structure.

This massive monument was built during the Mussolini era in preparation for the Universal Exhibition of 1942, that never took place.

The new headquarters were designed by Marco Constanzi, and the lease runs for 15 ans. An area of 1,000 square meters has been set apart for exhibitions.

From October 23 to March 7, the first floor of the Palace will be open to the public, with an exhibition that will tell the building's history since its creation.
