The British venture capital firm Felix Capital is entering a new phase after raising 600 million dollars (€561 million). This figure has doubled the fund's total capital to 1.2 billion dollars (€1.12 billion). Since its inception in 2015, the firm has targeted strategic investments in the digital field. These include investments in renowned companies such as the e-commerce platform Farfetch, the delivery services Deliveroo and Frichti or the electric scooter company Dott.

"Felix Capital was established with the vision that the rapid transformation of consumers’ behavior represented a massive opportunity and needed focus," said Frederic Court, founder and managing partner of the fund. "Since then, we have built a portfolio in line with that strategy, backing emerging and culturally relevant consumer brands as well as related enabling technologies that support them. We are proud of the growing community of founders who have trusted us," added the entrepreneur.

According to the company, these new funds will be used to support between 20 and 25 companies over the next two years. These investments, which will continue to be made in the initial phase of the projects, will be carried out in Europe and "selectively" in North America.

In parallel, the London-based company has brought two new experienced investors on board: Maria Auersperg de Lera, who will helm the business in Spain, and Sophie Luck; as well as three advisors, CEO of Depop Maria Raga; Musa Tariq, who has extensive marketing experience in brands such as Apple, Nike, Ford and Airbnb; and Branko Milutinović, founder and CEO of gaming company Nordeus.

The fund has backed a handful of businesses in the fashion sector. From Parisian Violette Serrat’s makeup and cosmetics firm, Violette_FR, to fashion brand Anine Bing, to e-commerce platform Farfetch and jewelry company Mejuri. In addition, Felix Capital has also backed the streetwear media platform Highsnobiety, and Business of Fashion, which is dedicated to delivering fashion industry news.

In other industries, Felix Capital has financed a total of 50 companies, including actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s wellness company, Goop; indoor bicycle company Peloton and the vacation booking platform Perfect Stay. Among its latest investments, the firm has participated in the recent financing rounds of three French technology companies: the cryptocurrency security specialist Ledger, the marketplace platform Mirakl and the fantasy soccer game Sorare. In Spain, the firm has already invested in the travel management company TravelPerk.
