Vintage menswear brand Farah has relocated and upsized its store at 3 Earlham Street in Seven Dials following a sustained strong performance.

The brand’s new store provides more space for the menswear and footwear collections with two floors; ground and basement, designed by agency Yum Retail.

Industrial elements such as traditional reclaimed pottery floorboards, galvanized metals and vintage fluorescent lighting draw attention to Farah’s longstanding heritage and are inspired by British 1950’s industrial factories.

The brand was founded as a family business in Texas in 1920 and was wholly adopted in the UK in the 1970s, when it was embraced by the mod and skinhead scene of the time.

Since then, it has continued to sell classic styles with a twist and focus on prints and pattern detailing.

Mark McCann, brand director at Farah, said of the Seven Dials reopening: “We’re excited about this new chapter in our retail development. Earlham Street has always been our home in London, and this new store will allow us to provide an even better consumer experience.”

Charles Owen, portfolio executive at Shaftesbury, added: “Working with great brands, such as Farah, enables Seven Dials to offer our visitors the best choice of fashion with an individual edge, all within the heart of the West End. Driven by the demand for menswear, Farah has gone from strength to strength and we are pleased to have been able to help them expand and maximise their full potential on the newly revitalised Earlham Street.”
