Expanding sports brand Castore to relocate HQ to Liverpool

Published

Premium sportswear brand Castore is recruiting ahead of its relocation to Liverpool. The brand is preparing to add 10 more staff immediately to its existing team of six, and a further 15 hires are planned over the next 12 months.

The growth is supported by the relocation of the brand’s headquarters from Chester to Liverpool, where it has taken a 2,000-square-foot office that will double its existing space, The Business Desk reported.

Castore’s design and marketing teams will be based there, and the space will be also used for storage.

“We are really sad to be saying goodbye to Chester, which has given us such a good start, but the move to Liverpool makes sense for the next stage in the company’s growth,” said Tom Beahon, who founded the men’s sports brand with brother Phil Beahon at the ages of 26 and 23 respectively.

“We are delighted to be moving to a larger office in Liverpool. There is a huge amount of activity in the city at the moment and a number of ambitious young businesses are making their home there. We are proud to be part of this growing trend.”

The relocation marks another step in the brand’s expansion following a £3.2m investment from high profile investors such as former Saatchi & Saatchi chief executive Robert Senior and Arnaud Massenet, the husband of Net-A-Porter founder Natalie Massenet.

Last year, Castore made sales of £750,000 and revenues are on track to reach £2.7m this year. The brand sells its range of men’s sportswear through its website, but it has plans to expand its distribution with the opening of stores in the UK and overseas.
