Expanding Dune London names US sales VP

Published
Mar 1, 2023

The Dune London brand developing its US ambitions. So the UK-based footwear and accessories brand has appointed Lindsey Borkowski VP of North American sales.

Based in Los Angeles, Borkowski joins from fashion/lifestyle retailer Ted Baker where she was head of sales for five years, overseeing footwear and accessories sales.

Bringing “extensive brand experience from across the retail sector”, she has also worked with Chloe, Jimmy Choo and as sales manager at Rag and Bone.

CEO Nigel Darwin cited Borkowski’s “wealth of experience working with great partners” for underpinning its push in the US where it already has established strong online sales with department stores Nordstrom and Dillard’s.

“We all share a strong belief in the potential of the Dune brand in the US and we look forward to building a fantastic business. [We have] substantial development plans within the US, based on the demand and opportunity for its distinctive quality product and design,” Darwin added.

Dune London is taking advantage of its growing international appeal, having announced in January it plans to open a raft of new stores set to open across the globe.

These include the Middle East, Africa, Pakistan and India this year, with further concessions also planned for Australia, North Africa and South America.

Dune said overseas retail ops now account for 26% of total, via 131 franchise stores and 48 European retail units, as the group expands across new and existing markets.
