Estée Lauder promotes Bari Seiden-Young to new citizenship, sustainability role
The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. has promoted Bari Seiden-Young to the role of senior vice president, global corporate communications, citizenship and sustainability, effective immediately.
In her new role, Seiden-Young will lead communications for The Estée Lauder Companies’ global corporate citizenship and sustainability (GCCS) organization, working to increase global awareness of the company's sustainability goals and citizenship initiatives within its corporate structure.
She will to report jointly to Alexandra Trower, executive vice president, global communications, and Nancy Mahon, senior vice president, global corporate citizenship and sustainability.
Since joining the beauty company in 2001 as vice president, global communications, Seiden-Young, has spent 18 years with Estée Lauder. During her time with the company, she has worked on specialty brands including Bobbi Brown, Jo Malone London and La Mer. She was also integral to the development of the company’s corporate identity, the company said.
Seiden-Young will continue to oversee The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign (BCC) and Lauder Family Communications, which she has led since 2010.
Estée Lauder currently serves as a member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition (SPC) and as a member of the Sustainable Packaging Initiative for Cosmetics (SPICE).
In addition, Estée Lauder fosters brand-level citizenship efforts or endeavors, which work to support nonprofit organizations and create positive social change. These include the MAC Cosmetics MAC AIDS Fund, Aveda Earth Month and La Mer Blue Heart.
