Esprit teams up with Facehunter in blogger campaign

Published

Esprit continues its efforts to win back fashionistas. And to get there, the retail brand, which wants to be seen as both global and urban, has once again tapped Yvan Rodic. The photographer is the creator of the Facehunter blog and also works with Vogue, MTV, and the New York Times to name a few.

While in fall 2011, Rodic photographed passerbys in the streets of ten cities for Esprit, this time he will play moderator and organizer of a social network with content coming from four bloggers.

The bloggers will write about their favorite trends, hip spots or what makes their city so unique. They will post photos, videos or anecdotes. They are all well known personalities: Margaux Lonnberg in Paris and her blog The Killing Moon; Christina Caradona in New York of Trop Rouge; Anna Nikbakht Nooshin in Amsterdam, who publishes the online magazine NSMBL (pronounced Ensemble); and Cindy Ko Sze Wan in Hong Kong, whose blog is simply known as cindiddy. Swedish director Nils Ringmar is also involved.

Dubbed "I Love my city," Esprit's social media campaign will be rolled out on Facebook, Pinterest and other social networks. I Love my city or simply put, the continuation of Esprit’s return to its roots: the brand was born in 1968 in San Francisco, the city of the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane. This social network campaign is positioned to be the corollary to the brand's official one featuring Gisele Bündchen.
